Jill turned him out with the boys yesterday, and when I got there after work, he had two hoofmarks on his left rear hip! He was sound, and there was no heat, but there was some swelling. I helped Jill feed, and she seemed to think that Runner did it, especially since Runner was lame.
We decided to put Daniel back in the paddock attached to the barn, and let him have access to the barn (the mares were in to keep him company). I didn't have his halter, and he let me lead him back with simply hay baling twine!
I can't go tonight, so I'm hoping my boy had a better day today!
