I haven't seen much of him because of my master's capstone paper (from here forward, it will be referred to as 'that stupid paper') which is due on April 1st. I reallly want to know who at Penn decided on April Fool's Day as a damned deadline anyway??!!
OK, so I'm a little nuts. As a 40-something fat and arthritic re-rider, working full-time, finishing my Master's degree at an Ivy, I found an instructor, and more importantly a horse, a 17.2h, 2200 lb Percheron gelding, who kept me sane! I do a lot of volunteering in pet therapy with dogs, Daniel's my own therapy. This is a place to store my thoughts, and try to track our progress.

Spring has sprung!
70 degrees, grass coming in, and the first time I've seen my horse in a couple of days. One of the boys either bit him or pulled a kick, and he was skinned above his left eye. Poor old guy! It wasn't hot, wasn"t swollen, so I just put some tea tree oil ointment on it. I'll go back in the morning to check him again.
